In response to some quotes provided by an AI source and used in an opening speech for the academic year 2025-26 in Ghent, there was quite a lot of criticism of and about AI and its use. It is relevant to provide a more nuanced commentary and explanation. On the one hand concerning (1) quotes and on the other hand (2) concerning AI generation of knowledge and the famous AI hallucinating.
