Van Ranst M. (cf. his column in De Morgen 23/01/2026) glorifies the youth and their new technologies with a typical Western cultural vision and riducalizes the older political world leaders, who struggle with Wi-Fi and with incontinence problems that require meetings to be suspended... "Four old men decide on a future that they themselves will only experience minimally": he writes (referring to the leaders of the US, China, Russia and India, together 301 years). This is a typical W-European vision, where people in their fifties already have a hard time getting a decent job.
